THE TRUMAN BREWERY VENUE SALES TEAM

 

The Truman Brewery, East London’s landmark destination, is looking to recruit new and energetic staff to join our busy Venue Sales Team. This is a great opportunity to join a young, growing and vibrant team; as well as an opportunity to become part of The Truman Brewery family.

 

Duties include:
*Effectively sell The Truman Brewery’s event venues and services to maximise venue sales turnover
*Reactive Sales – dealing with incoming enquiries from new and pre-existing clients to convert into bookings.
*Pro-active sales – effectively canvass and networking for new business
*Develop and manage strong working relationships with clients through great service and actively follow-up renegotiations.
*Database and venue diary management to ensure optimum profitability.
*Meeting clients; conducting site visits and interpreting event requirements.
*Develop excellent knowledge of the different venues, the type of events best suited and operational procedures involved in running multiple events in multiple venues across a busy Estate.
*Flexibility to assist as necessary in all aspects of the day to day running of the department, our events and the wider company.
*Occasional early get-ins for events + acting as onsite venue representative during out of office hour events.

 

Applicant is required to have:
*Bright, friendly and personable character is vital to the role
*A keen interest and clear idea of the UK events market, event organisers, agencies and venue competitors.
*Great interpersonal and communication skills and the confidence to interact politely and effectively with all types of clients
*Self-motivated, hardworking, focused and determined in your approach to work
*Excellent written communication skills for a variety of purposes including the preparation of reports, marketing material, and client correspondence. 
*Excellent verbal communication skills in order to deliver persuasive and effective venue tours, networking, negotiations, internal communications and relationship management 
*Good computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel and Word.

 

This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm with a 6 month trial period.
