Supporting and Facilitating Artists and Designers
* The Truman Brewery has a history of supporting and facilitating artists and designers. Initially, this was with a view to showcasing the Truman Brewery as a major creative venue as well as providing young, up and coming talent with the chance to perform in an established venue on an international level. Now these special projects very much push themselves forward under their own momentum...

Free Range

Free Range is a summer season of graduate art, design & photography exhibitions established in 2001 at the Old Truman Brewery. Since its inception thousands of students have exhibited at the shows, taking over OTB spaces and connecting with a London audience. In 2016 the FR Awards were introduced, selecting weekly winners to receive mentorship & funding towards solo exhibitions. Free Range aims to celebrate talent and provide a platform for UK artists beyond education.

We Are Robots

We Are Robots is a brand new in-house festival coming to The Old Truman Brewery this November.
As well as an exclusive collaboration with our good friends at Rough Trade, We Are Robots will be joining forces with some of the biggest names in the music industry, exploring the ideas and movements that are propelling the future of music, and transforming our unique space into 50,000 square feet of futuristic fun!
Whether you're a music maker, industry insider or a music fan, come and experience first-hand the new technology in music creation; discuss and attend talks about current and future practices; learn how to hone your skills through innovation workshops with leading brands and immerse yourself within and interact with installations that challenge the senses, and enjoy our impressive line-up of live musical performances.
