PHOTOBLOCK is a special project by The Old Truman Brewery that curates a distinctive programme of photography events every October, creating a wider experience and engagement for all things photographic.

October is a busy new season for creatives in the capital, with the annual Frieze Art Fair and East London's Photography Festival, Photomonth. If that's not enough to bring you to the East End - we've made sure that PHOTOBLOCK provides a unique, extraordinary mix of Photographic events combining both contemporary and traditional art forms.

The British Press Photographers' Association was formed in 1984 by a small group of Fleet Street photographers to showcase the work that they were so passionate about.

The Royal Photographic Society returns with their touring International Print Exhibition 159. Now in its 159th edition, it is the longest running exhibition of its kind in the world. The exhibition showcases an eclectic mix of work and gives a fascinating insight into the range and diversity of photographic work being created today.

Fotonow CIC present their annual showcase of graduate work made from artists leaving South West regional higher education programmes.

Participating artists: Samuel Kaye (Falmouth University), Jacob King (University of Gloucestershire), India Rose Catto (University of West of England), Hannah Wright (Falmouth University), Claire Masters (Plymouth University), Mimi Chambre (Arts University Bournemouth) and Alex Ingram (University of West of England).

Camper Obscura is a mobile camera obscura sat inside a 1986 VW camper van managed by Fotonow CIC. Offering free visual experiences the vehicle is a photographic festival favourite.
